* Sept. 1989-July. 1993: Studied in Department of Physics of Jilin University Majoring in Solid State Physics.

* Sept. 1993-Feb. 1996: Studied for Master degree in Institute of Metal Research, CAS majoring in Material Science and Engineering.

* Mar. 1996- Jun. 1999: Studied for Doctor degree in Institute of Metal Research, CAS majoring in Material Science and Engineering.

* July. 1999-: Engaged in carbon materials researching in Institute of Metal Research, CAS.

Research Interest:

Synthesis and application of special carbon materials, including the nuclear graphite, graphite composites, pyrolytic carbon/graphite, pyrolytic boron nitride, and so on.  

Research Achievement:

Large-size bulk isotropic pyrolytic graphite (IPyG) materials are fabricated using a specifically-designed CVD equipment. The IPyG not only has isotropic properties in both macroscale and microscale but also has excellent mechanical, physical and chemical properties, compared to traditional carbon materials. It is expected to be widely applied in many high-tech fields. For example, it is the best mechanical sealing material and has been successfully applied to the field of aviation, aerospace, ship and so on.
